What the Rockford area covers
The district spreads across the City of Rockford and the surrounding townships — Algoma, Courtland, Cannon, and Plainfield. Rockford itself has a real downtown on the Rogue River with the White Pine Trail running through it. Belmont, at exit 95 off US-131, gives you the same district with more open space, river frontage, and a roughly 15-minute, 12-mile shot to downtown Grand Rapids.

What homes in the Rockford area cost
On the Belmont side, an older 3-bed ranch or split-level from the 1970s-80s runs about $300,000 to $375,000, an updated or larger 3-to-4-bedroom $375,000 to $500,000, and newer 4-to-5-bedroom homes or homes on acreage $500,000 to $750,000. Rockford-city addresses generally carry a premium over Belmont for the same house, since you're paying for the walkable downtown on top of the district.
